Exploring, Preserving, and Sharing Kerala's Past

Kerala History is a youth-led, non-profit initiative dedicated to keeping cultural memory alive through research, storytelling, and public engagement.

About Us

A living legacy, shared widely and with care.

We believe that history is not just a static record of the past, but a living legacy that helps communities understand their roots and engage with the world.

Through research, storytelling, content creation, publications, discussions, and collaborative events, Kerala History works to bring attention to forgotten narratives, traditions, cultural practices, historical personalities, and significant events that have shaped Kerala over centuries.

What began as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant community of students, researchers, educators, content creators, and history enthusiasts. Together, we strive to bridge the gap between academic research and public engagement by presenting historical knowledge in ways that are accurate, engaging, and easy to understand.

Shared Responsibility

Heritage is a collective commitment.

By fostering curiosity, dialogue, and appreciation for history, we hope to inspire present and future generations to value and preserve Kerala's unique cultural legacy.

Our Vision

Preserved, understood, and celebrated by all.

We envision a future where the history and heritage of Kerala are actively preserved and understood. As a youth-led initiative, we aim to empower young people to become active participants in heritage preservation, nurturing an informed society connected to its culture, identity, and place.

Our Mission

Engaging, meaningful, and accessible history.

We are committed to preserving and sharing Kerala’s heritage by producing well-researched content and creating opportunities for learning. We document historical, social, cultural, and intellectual traditions while ensuring everything we share is credible and rooted in historical integrity.

Our Values

Authenticity, stewardship, and knowledge sharing.

Guided by cultural stewardship and historical expression, Kerala History strives to create a space where history is not only studied in classrooms but experienced, discussed, and appreciated across digital and physical communities alike.
